Services
Family Medicine
We offer wellness visits, sports physicals, chronic disease management. We can prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications. In addition, we see acute illnesses or concerns such as sore throat, cough and cold symptoms, rashes, bladder infections, injuries and many other concerns. Please do not hesitate to call and ask about your specific needs.
Lab
Heartland Healthcare locations have onsite labs with same day results for cholesterol panels, kidney and liver function, electrolytes, A1c, urinalysis (urine test), strep, influenza, and COVID-19. We also work with an outside lab service to offer over 1000 additional tests including common requests such as hemoglobin, thyroid function, vitamin D and many other tests. Our lab tests are typically a fraction of the cost compared to other facilities. We are happy to draw labs and share them with your primary provider or clinic to save on lab costs. Because we do not submit to insurance, we do not need an order if you have labs you would like to have done simply for your own knowledge.
Medication Dispensing
Through Proficient Rx, we are able to dispense medications at direct pay pricing. Examples are antibiotics, steroids for acute conditions, muscle relaxers, inhalers, blood pressure medications, and prescription creams and ointments. We have access to many medications and are happy to price check any medications you are interested in ordering.
Spirometry
We offer spirometry, also commonly called Pulmonary Function Test, at our Winnebago location. We can also arrange a spirometry test at our Janesville location with advance notice. This test can be used to assess respiratory symptoms and diagnose lung diseases such as asthma, COPD or emphysema. It is also used for screening for employees or volunteers in high risk environments such as fire departments or industrial environments.
Audiometry
Heartland Healthcare offers hearing tests daily at our Winnebago location. We can make arrangements for testing at our Janesville site as well, with advance notice. We are also able to do on site testing for employers, fire departments, law enforcement, or any other interested group. Our nurse practitioner is a CAOHC Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist.
Custom Fit Hearing Protection
As an adjunct to our hearing conservation efforts and audiometry services, we offer pre-made and custom fit hearing protection with EAR Inc products. ​At Heartland Healthcare, many of the services we currently provide are because of requests from current patients, schools and local businesses. We pride ourselves on flexibility and enjoy coming up with solutions. If you have any healthcare related needs not already listed on our website, please reach out. Patients and organizations often find we have a specific lab or other service, after they have already paid too much elsewhere.
